About The Band
The Jonno & The Zilberfish Little Big Band is an eight-piece Swing and Jump Blues band hailing from Canberra, Australia's home of public servants, fireworks dealers and a few Jazz musicians. This band represents all of the above.
For his 18th birthday, Jonno Zilber decided he would round up some of his favourite musicians from the local Blues scene and his old high school (including the music teacher, of course) to put together a big, swingin' band. Their debut night was a great success and Jonno and his Zilberfish left the crowd at The National Press Club of Australia screaming for more.
Due to popular demand, the Zilberfish Little Big-Band reformed a year later for a few shows at the Press Club and around the ACT and quickly developed a good following and reputation as one of Canberra's most exciting party bands.
